Children

Does your child have crowded teeth or a bad bite? To help him or her reach a straighter, healthier smile, Our Doctors provide early orthodontic intervention. We welcome you to contact Orthodontics, Inc. today to learn more and to schedule your child’s appointment with our orthodontists.

The childhood and teenage years are a great time for orthodontic treatment. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that a child receive their first orthodontic screening by age 7, and we encourage you to bring your child to our office by this age to evaluate their need for orthodontic treatment. When we are able to start treatment early, we can often detect and correct potential problems before they become more serious. This can help save time as well as money.

Early orthodontic treatment is advantageous because a young child’s teeth have not finished erupting; this allows us to guide their eruption and address any problems at the earliest possible stage. Whether your child needs removable or fixed appliances, early orthodontic treatment can help to:

-Provide more room for crowded erupting teeth

-Preserve space for teeth that have not yet erupted

-Create facial symmetry by guiding jaw growth

-Reduce the possible need for tooth extraction

-Reduce the overall treatment time

Teens

Malocclusion's like crooked teeth or a misaligned bite can negatively affect your teen’s confidence and social skills. If your teenager avoids smiling because of crooked teeth braces or other orthodontic treatments may perfect for you. We have various orthodontic treatments to help teens reach healthy, straight, attractive smiles. Our orthodontist provide both traditional braces and cosmetic orthodontic solutions. If you choose aligners, your teen can straighten their teeth without marring the appearance of their smile. For self-conscious teens, this is a great alternative to the traditional metal brackets and wires. We also provide self-ligating braces, which straighten teeth more quickly and comfortably than traditional braces. For teens with busy schedules, self-ligating braces are a great choice because they require less office visits.

Orthodontic treatment for your teen is very beneficial patient oral health. When your teen’s malocclusion issues are treated early, we can:

• Shorten treatment time • Provide room for crowded, erupting teeth • Restore the face’s symmetry and aesthetics by stimulating jaw growth • Preserve the health of the teeth • Minimize the threat of damage to protruding teeth • Reduce the need for tooth extraction • Preserve space for un-erupted teeth

Adults

Do you worry that you are too old to straighten your teeth? You are never too old for orthodontics! In fact, about 25% of orthodontic patients are now adults.

At our practice, we want you to know that a straight, healthy, beautiful smile is within your reach – no matter your age. We offer a number of orthodontic treatments and are happy to help you find the option that matches your personal needs and desires. In addition to traditional metal braces, more discreet options are often available to help you maintain a natural, professional appearance while you straighten your teeth. During your initial visit with our orthodontist, we will review all of your treatment options and help you choose the one you need for optimal results.

Most patients understand that a straighter smile is more aesthetic; however, not everyone knows that properly aligned teeth can help to improve your oral health and function as well. Orthodontic treatment can help you avoid severe tooth decay, gum and bone loss, TMJ/TMD pain, and the irregular wear of tooth enamel. To learn more about the benefits of adult orthodontic treatment, we welcome you to call or visit us today.

We look forward to helping you achieve a straighter, healthier smile!
